Total Costs

I will try to keep a running total of all costs associated with gardening.

December 2009 - $17, cold frame
January 2010 - $9, seeds, soil, small pots
-$4, two herb starters, ($2 sunny $)
-$3, soil
February 2010 - $10, fence material
-$11, huge bag of Black Gold soil
March 2010 - $5, fence material

-$9, huge bag of Black Gold soil (on sale!)

-$10, seeds (Abbo)

-$26, plants (including flowers)
-$10, worm casting soil, soil tester, seeds
April 2010 - $18, seeds (Abbo)

-$3 Bunny starters

May 2010 - $80? Julia went a little crazy at the Plant Sale

Total - $215

Total Harvest

Perhaps this will be a post one day when the season really starts.

Jan - trace (lettuce)

Jan - handful (lettuce)

Feb - large handful (lettuce)

March-large handful (lettuce)

April, May - perhaps enough lettuce for about 50 (two serving) salads, four servings of chard

June - more salads (probably a gallon bucket full)

- more chard and kale (probably a gallon)

- garlic

- few strawberries

July - more chard and kale (2-5 gallons each, basically whenever we want to eat it)

-garlic (three dozen, maybe more)

-shallots (around 18)

-beets (20 as of 7/31)

-Carrots (25 as of 7/31)

-over ten ounces of tomatoes!!!! mostly isis, one golden sun ray, and a few black cherries.

-garbanzo beans (couple ounces)

-basil, basil, and more basil. enough to pick at will

-mint, mint, and more mint, going crazy now

-other herbs - sage, thyme, parsley

-horseradish

-peas, purple and white (a pound?, couple of pounds?)

-snap peas
